The company and Big Hit Music's technology and entertainment fusion project 'MIDNATT' utilizes the technology of Supertone, an artificial intelligence (AI) audio solution company that Hive acquired earlier this year.
It utilizes two technologies, Supertone's "Multilingual Pronunciation Correction Technology" and "Voice Designing Technology."
"Multilingual Pronunciation Correction Technology" records the pronunciation of narration by native speakers that the singer inserts separately according to the Singing rhythm. This pronunciation data is applied to the song. Only pronunciation can be corrected without impairing the musical characteristics of the singer.
"Voice designing technology" is a technology that uses AI technology to create timbres that match the concept and sound of music. In a recent project, they applied a female tone to a male singer's song.
Jeong explained, "The fusion of technology and music is a new attempt to enrich the K-pop industry, and it is also the reason why we are promoting technology fusion in the medium to long term."
